1) Tape measure

 The tape measure is used to measure the area you are going to paint. It is used to take square footage from that of the wall. It's a measurement device used to quantify the size of all surface you wish to paint. Walls in the room should be measured on it's own in case there happen to be difference.

2) Blue painter's tape (masking tape)

   Taping off trim and ceilings. It's used to cover the edges of base boards, windows and other objects. When painting ceiling be sure to put tape at the top of the walls.
 The 3M Scotch Blue brand is mostly used tape for painting walls and trim. The masking tape i.e. blue painter's tape is mainly used for designing the wall.

3) Drop cloth

 Using drop cloth we require less clean up later. Use to protect floors and furniture from the paint drops

Three types of drop cloth used :

a. The plastic drop cloth -
   It's a temporary option; use it, crumple it up and dump it in the garbage.

  This cloth is used for painting, after use we can use it as DIY: we can use it to make slipcover or curtains.

4) Paint tray
   

Paint Tray

  It's a plastic material for cost effectiveness. Paint tray is easy to clip on cover to prevent your paint and roller from drying during your painting process. As it's a heavy duty plastic, therefore you can use it again for years to come. It prevent the paint roller from drying, so you can leave your roller inside.

  It's a kind of tray used for mini roller. These are nice to have when cutting in your wall. The pan is eaiser and lighter to carry them.

5) Paint roller

Paint Roller

  Paint roller is an application tool. It is used for painting large flat surface. By using paint roller you can paint the surface rapidly, easily and efficiently.

There are two different parts of paint roller:
a. Roller frame
b. Roller cover

a. Roller frame
  The roller frame is reusable roller. That means it's possible to clean and reuse it.

  The roller cover is a non reusable roller. It absorbs the paint and transfers it to painted surface. It can also be cleaned and reused but not for longer a day.

6) Ladder

Ladder

     An aluminum step ladder is mainly used by painter in their work. The ladder can be used when a full sized ladder is not required or when working in confined space. Ladder will not only keep you from hurting your back but it makes your painting job easier.

2. Extension Ladder (length 15 meter)
3. Step Ladder (height 6.1 meter)
4. Dual purpose Ladder (height 6.1 meter)

7) Brushes

Brushes

     Brushes are used to paint the wall. There are various types of brushes used for different kinds of walls.

  a. 2/3- inch flat brush :

Flat Brush

     We use this type of brush for the flat surface like door frames and floor boards. The 2/3-inch flat brush is easier for painting the edges of the wall.
         
b. Angled paint brush :

Angled Brush

           They are great for cutting in corners and windows.

8) Sponge

Sponge

     Sponge is used to wipe the wall. It is used before painting to remove the dust from the wall. It completes the list of the things that you need to be successful with your painting project.

9) Spackle

Spackle

 Spackle dries in like 5 min. The Spackle has primer built right in it , so your spackling is quick and easy to be used on the walls. It's a putty used to fill holes,small cracks and other minor surface.

10) Paint scaper (putty knife)

Paint Scaper

 A tool having flat blade used for scraping and applying putty. It is also handy for cleaning built up gunk.
The wire brush works the same as scraper.

11) Triangular scraper

   It's a single edged tool used to scrap metal from a surface. This tool maybe required where a surface needs to be turned, needs to retain oil or to give a decorative finish.

•    Available with solid cutting edges as well as hollow around cutting edges.

12) Steel wool

 The steel wool is used for professional cleaning processes on glass because it is softer than those materials and is able to scrape off deposits without scratching the underlying surface like common abrasives.

13) Long handled brush

 It is perfect tool for most acrylic painting technique and glazing. The reason of this long handles is to make oil painting to be perfectly able to paint the surface and allow them to stand up and not too close to the canvas.

14) Scrub brush

Scrub Brush

 The scrubber is a type of wide brush with a long shaft used to clean the hard floors or surface. Unlike a broom which has soft bristles to sweep dirt by, scrubber has hard bristles for brushing and making the surface clean. Before using scrub brush you should wet the surface or floors with water cleaning fluids .

15) Sand paper

 The sandpaper is a paper sheet consisting of paper for cloth with abrasive material glued to one side. The material used in this paper sheet is aluminium oxide or silicon carbids. It is usually used to plane the surface.

Size of Sand paper:
 a. Small size - 20 to 40 indicates a coarse grit.

The sanding block is a block used to hold sandpaper in its simplest form, it's a block of wood with one smooth flat side.
